Otherwise, your sole remedy for the breach of any of the above warranties is to discontinue your use of our Service and to receive a refund of what (if anything) you paid us for the goods or services regarding which a warranty was breached. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, OUR SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF OR REASONABLY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

organization policies

  • Sustainability Modern society has produced a wide array of electronic devices that have been a boon to productivity and personal enjoyment. The rapid pace of technological advancement continues to offer opportunities for new or upgraded electronic equipment. In turn, electronic waste or e-waste is now the fastest growing segment of Tennessee’s solid waste stream. E-waste is a general category for electronic products facing displacement or replacement that are hazardous due to the toxic metals present with their internal materials, coatings and glass. E-waste contains metals and other materials that can be hazardous to human health and the environment if they are not properly managed. According to an EPA study, 40% of the lead in U.S. landfills is from discarded electrical and electronic products. E-waste may include personal computers, monitors, televisions, keyboards, printers, telephones, typewriters, calculators, copiers, fax machines and audio equipment.

E-waste: Electronic waste or e-waste may include personal computers, monitors, televisions, keyboards, printers, telephones, typewriters, calculators, copiers, fax machines and audio equipment.

Reduce - The first priority should be to reduce the amount of waste produced by increasing the lifespan of equipment, purchase equipment with upcycled materials or those containing reused contents, and not buying or deploying unnecessary items. A lifecycle analysis should be performed on all equipment in an effort to document the impact of the production, use, and decommission of our products and services.

Reuse - Can we use the equipment somewhere else? If not, can it be donated somewhere that can extend the use of the equipment?

Recycle - No items should be sent to municipal landfills or other trash repositories if they can in part or whole be recycled. All recyclable materials will be sent to the appropriate facility.

  • Indigenous Land Acknowledgement

    10.13.22

We join the Pennsylvania Youth Congress in recognizing and acknowledging Pennsylvania as being the indigenous land of nations including Erielhonan (Erie), Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), Lenni-Lenape, Shawnee, Susquehannock, and Tuscarora, and the tribes of Honniasont, Saluda, Saponi, Tutelo, and Wenrohronon. Many regions in which we operate have been illegally or unethically taken from Indigenous communities through colonial development and American expansion. The displacement of Native people or their way of life is an ongoing offense that continues to inflict trauma and hardship.

As an internet service provider working to expand broadband connectivity, our team at Community Internet Solutions will work with indigenous groups to access funds they deserve and regain the rights and recognition to land in Pennsylvania. According to the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs, as of 2020, there were 574 tribal entities recognized and thus eligible for federal funding and services. However, none of these groups are located in Pennsylvania. We see the lack of recognition of tribal lands in our State as a form of structural racism and continued genoicde being perpetrated by the Federal and State governments.

We are currently prohibited from offering benefits of the Affordable Connectivity Program to Native American groups and individuals, the nearly 20,800 indigenous people living in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania today. Native Americans who live in our State are excluded from this Federal program because they are denied recognition of tribal land in Pennsylvania, an estimated loss of $1.5 million dollars per month. This exclusion is at odds with our goal of providing an inclusive internet service in Pennsylvania.

Community Internet Solutions commits to working with Indigenous groups to restore tribal land in Pennsylvania and ensuring access to the best services, like high speed internet. We will work with local, state, and federal agencies to find equitable solutions that prioritize Indigenous sovereignty. By restoring land to Indigenous groups in Pennsylvania and connecting these communities with the best available infrastructure, we may support the basic rights of equality afforded to all people in our nation. We will continue to ensure that no individual, community, or group is left behind or prevented from benefiting from improved digital infrastructure.

  • At Meta Mesh Wireless Communities, we are unapologetic in placing high value on diversity, equity, and inclusion. We celebrate the variety of cultures, principles, and histories that give vibrancy to the lives of our current and future team members, the customers we serve, and the partners with whom we collaborate. We welcome the authentic experience of being human and seek to foster holistic engagement with all those we encounter as we work to build an equitable Internet community.

  • Though the life circumstances and backgrounds of our community members may differ greatly, the importance of everyone having the ability to be a member of the broader online neighborhood and function in modern society is something that should not be underestimated
